About the event

The challenges men are facing in the battle for sexual purity are alarming. The rise of technology usage has ushered countless vehicles to access pornography and other sensual images online. There is a relentless attack on the lives of those who seek to live rightly. Marriages are damaged, children are affected, and the reputation of Christ is tarnished by countless cases of sexual immorality.

We want to fortify men in churches all across the Unifour of North Carolina, so that they can honor God in the area of sexual purity. Our Regional Anchor Conference will be focused on the men in the Fall of 2024, and the women in the Spring of 2025. The theme for the Anchor Men's Conference this year will be "Anchored in Purity." The conference speaker is Harry Walls. Harry will be preaching from Proverbs in order to challenge the men to have lives marked by integrity, purity, and godliness. The Anchor Men's Conference will feature Christian song writer and artist, Matt Papa, as the conference worship leader. So this will be a dynamic weekend in both Word and song, to equip men to walk in a manner worthy of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The conference will be held on October 11-12, 2024 at Hickory Bible Church. Activities start Friday evening and will end Saturday afternoon. The conference cost is $45 which includes all sessions, meals, a welcome gift, all conference materials, and access to all conference teaching via audio. Early Bird Registration is $45 - August 4 - September 22.

Harry Walls

Harry has served at Grace Church as an elder and Fellowship Group pastor and at The Master’s University as the campus pastor. Before his time at Grace Church, Harry served as the senior pastor of Shades Mountain Independent Church in Birmingham, Alabama, where for twenty-seven years he shepherded and gave leadership to a church with a passion to pray, study God’s Word, and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Harry has earned degrees from Brown University, where he played football, and from Liberty University and Seminary, where he served as campus pastor while preparing for pastoral ministry. Harry and his wife, Karon, and have two children.

Matt Papa

With songs like, “His Mercy Is More”, “Christ Our Hope In Life And Death” and “Come Behold The Wondrous Mystery”, Matt tours regularly across the U.S. as a songwriter with Getty Music and frequently guests on their tours. A three-time Dove Award nominated artist, Matt is on a mission to write songs that are singable, beautiful, and timeless. He currently serves as an artist-in-residence at Marco Presbyterian Church in Marco Island, FL, and most of all, is a husband, and a father to 5 beautiful children.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY AND HOW DO I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED TO ATTEND?

Please note that the conference is geared toward adults. We ask that children under age 12 do not attend. Parents that desire to bring their middle/high school youth are asked to use their discretion to determine if it would be beneficial and appropriate to bring their 12-17 year old. Each person attending needs to register and those aged 12-17 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

ARE THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCOMMODATIONS?

The Spurgeon Center and Whitfield Auditorium both are accessible by wheelchair. We also provide areas in the auditorium for wheelchair seating.
